Savlon Antiseptic Cream – 60g is a dual-antiseptic first aid cream designed to help cleanse, soothe and protect minor skin injuries by reducing the risk of infection. It is suitable for use on cuts and grazes, minor burns and scalds, insect bites and stings, blisters and spots, making it a staple for home, travel and workplace first aid kits.

The cream contains two well-established antiseptic agents that work together to help kill bacteria while being gentle enough for regular family use when applied as directed.

Directions for use (UK pharmacy-aligned guidance):

• Gently clean the affected area with water.
• Apply a thin layer of Savlon Antiseptic Cream to the skin.
• Use up to three times daily if required.
• Cover with a clean dressing if necessary.

General advice:

• For external use only.
• If symptoms worsen, signs of infection develop, or healing does not progress, consult a pharmacist or GP.
• Suitable for adults and children when used according to the leaflet.

Active ingredients (w/w):

• Cetrimide 0.5% – antiseptic
• Chlorhexidine gluconate solution 0.1% – antiseptic

Other ingredients include:

Purified water, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, sodium hydroxide and fragrance.

Warnings & Precautions

• For external use only.
• Do not use on large or deep wounds, or on serious burns.
• Avoid contact with eyes, ears, mouth and nose.
• Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine, cetrimide or any other ingredients.
• If irritation, redness or sensitivity occurs, stop use immediately.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Possible Side Effects

• Generally well tolerated when used as directed.
• Rarely, local skin irritation or allergic reactions may occur, particularly in individuals sensitive to chlorhexidine.

If severe irritation or signs of an allergic reaction develop, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Storage

• Store below 25°C.
• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the pack.
