Description
Savlon Antiseptic Cream – 15g is a dual-antiseptic first aid cream designed to help cleanse wounds and reduce the risk of infection in everyday minor skin injuries. It is suitable for treating cuts and grazes, minor burns and scalds, insect bites and stings, blisters and spots.
The gentle formulation contains two trusted antiseptic agents that work together to help kill bacteria while remaining suitable for family use when applied as directed. The small 15g tube is ideal for handbags, travel kits, school bags and first aid boxes.

How to Use
Directions for use (UK pharmacy-aligned):
- Clean the affected area gently with water.
- Apply a thin layer of Savlon Antiseptic Cream.
- Use up to three times daily if required.
- Cover with a clean dressing if necessary.
General advice:
- For external use only.
- If symptoms worsen, signs of infection develop, or healing does not progress, consult a pharmacist or GP.
- Suitable for adults and children when used according to the patient information leaflet.
Ingredients
Active ingredients (w/w):
- Cetrimide 0.5% – antiseptic
- Chlorhexidine gluconate solution 0.1% – antiseptic
Other ingredients include:
Purified water, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, sodium hydroxide and fragrance.

Side Effects & Warnings
Warnings & Precautions
- For external use only.
- Do not use on large or deep wounds, or on serious burns.
- Avoid contact with eyes, ears, mouth and nose.
- Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine, cetrimide or any other ingredients.
- If irritation, redness or sensitivity occurs, stop use immediately.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
Possible Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated when used as directed.
- Rarely, local skin irritation or allergic reactions may occur, particularly in individuals sensitive to chlorhexidine.
If severe irritation or signs of an allergic reaction occur, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
Storage
- Store below 25°C.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the tube or carton.
