Senokot Syrup - Senna is known as a 'stimulant laxative'. It acts on nerve endings in the gut wall. These nerves then make the muscles in the intestine contract.
Description
Senokot® Syrup 150ml is a stimulant laxative used for the short-term relief of occasional constipation.
It contains senna, a natural plant-derived ingredient that works by stimulating the muscles of the bowel to help produce a bowel movement. Senokot® Syrup is particularly suitable for people who prefer a liquid formulation, including those who may have difficulty swallowing tablets.
The syrup is designed to work overnight, helping to restore regular bowel movement by the following morning when taken at bedtime.

How to Use
- Measure the required dose using a suitable measuring spoon or cup.

Do not use for more than one week unless advised by a pharmacist or GP.

Possible side effects may include abdominal cramps, diarrhoea or nausea, particularly with higher doses or prolonged use.
