Activon Medical Grade Manuka Honey - 25g

Activon Medical Grade Manuka Honey 25g (Activon Tube) is a sterile, 100% medical grade Manuka honey wound product designed for direct application to the wound bed (surface wounds) or cavities.

Manuka honey helps support wound management by:

• Creating a moist wound healing environment
• Providing antibacterial action and helping discourage bacterial growth through its natural high-sugar, osmotic effect
• Helping with debridement (supporting the removal of dead tissue)
• Helping to reduce wound odour

Activon Tube is commonly used as part of the care plan for a range of wound types, including necrotic or sloughy wounds, cavity wounds, and wounds where honey dressings may need “topping up” after being washed away by exudate.

Use as directed by a healthcare professional.

1. Prepare the wound according to local wound-care guidance.
2. Twist off the cap and apply the honey directly to the wound bed (surface wound) or into the cavity. Apply generously enough to cover the area.
3. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing to help keep the honey in place and manage exudate.
4. Dressing changes: Replace the secondary dressing as required (more often if there is heavy exudate, especially initially).
5. Removal: Honey can be washed away using normal saline during cleansing.
6. After opening: Intended for single-patient use. Once opened, use within 90 days (check outer carton/label for the exact period for your pack).

Do not use if you are allergic to honey, bee venom, or other bee-related products. Stop use if you develop redness, rash, itching, increased pain, or irritation and seek advice.

Seek medical advice promptly if the wound shows signs of infection (e.g., increasing redness, heat, swelling, pus, worsening pain, fever) or if there is no improvement.

Avoid contaminating the tube tip. Single-patient use only.
