Beconase Nasal Spray – 180 Sprays is a pharmacy-only corticosteroid nasal spray containing beclometasone dipropionate that works by reducing inflammation in the nasal passages, helping to prevent and treat the symptoms of hayfever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and year-round (perennial) allergic rhinitis triggered by pollen, dust, pet dander and other airborne allergens.

This spray is designed for daily use throughout the allergy season or as advised by a pharmacist, acting at the source of inflammation to relieve sneezing, itching, blocked or runny nose, and other discomforts associated with allergic rhinitis. Beconase is non-drowsy and suitable for adults aged 18 years and over when used as directed.

The 180-spray format provides an extended supply for ongoing seasonal or perennial symptom management. 

Shake well before use and remove the dust cap.

• Blow your nose gently before spraying.

• Adults aged 18 and over: Aim to use two sprays into each nostril twice daily (morning and evening). Once symptoms are under control, the dose may be reduced to one spray per nostril twice daily.

• Do not exceed 8 sprays in 24 hours.

• Always point the nozzle slightly towards the outer wall of the nostril — do not aim straight up or towards the septum. Wipe the nozzle and replace the cap after use.

• It may take 2–3 days of regular use before you experience full benefit.

• Use regularly for best effect; speak with a pharmacist or clinician if symptoms do not improve after 14 days.

• Suitable for adults; not generally recommended for children or adolescents under 18 without medical advice.

Active Ingredient:

• Beclometasone dipropionate 50 micrograms per spray — a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in nasal mucosa to relieve allergy symptoms.

Other Ingredients:

• Microcrystalline cellulose

• Sodium carboxymethylcellulose

• Polysorbate 80

Possible Side Effects

• Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 users): Nasal dryness or irritation, mild sneezing.

• Uncommon/less common: Nosebleeds, dry throat, unpleasant taste or smell.

• Rare but serious: Signs of severe allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of face or throat, breathing difficulties), eye pain or blurred vision — discontinue use and seek immediate medical advice.

• If symptoms persist beyond 2–3 weeks or side effects worsen, speak to a clinician or pharmacist.
