Description
Bonjela Gel Adult (15g) is a clear, aniseed-flavoured oral gel used to relieve the pain and discomfort of common mouth ulcers and cold sores, and to aid healing of sore spots and ulcers caused by dentures and braces.
It contains:
- Choline salicylate, a painkiller and anti-inflammatory to soothe sore areas in the mouth
- Cetalkonium chloride, an antiseptic to help kill bacteria and reduce the risk of minor mouth infection
Suitable for adults and children aged 16 years and over.
How to Use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
For adults and children over 16 years only:
Mouth ulcers and sores
- Using a clean finger, massage approximately 1 cm (about half an inch) of gel onto the sore area.
- This can be repeated after 3 hours.
Denture sores
- Massage approximately 1 cm of gel onto the sore area, and leave at least 30 minutes before reinserting dentures.
- Do not apply directly onto dentures.
If symptoms do not improve or get worse after 7 days, speak to a doctor or dentist. Do not use more than directed as salicylate toxicity may occur.
