Calpol Infant Sugar Free Colour Free Oral Suspension 100ml is a paracetamol-based oral medicine formulated to provide effective and gentle relief from pain and fever in babies and young children from 2 months of age (weighing over 4 kg).

This formulation is sugar free and colour free, making it suitable for infants who may be sensitive to additives. It is commonly used to help relieve:

• Fever (high temperature)
• Pain following routine vaccinations (from 2 months)
• Teething pain
• Toothache
• Headache
• Sore throat
• Aches and pains associated with colds and flu

The liquid suspension allows accurate dosing using an oral syringe, supporting safe administration in infants who cannot swallow tablets.

Always use this medicine exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a pharmacist, GP or health visitor.

Dosage (based on age):

• 2–3 months:
• 2.5ml after vaccination only (a second dose may be given after 4–6 hours if needed)
• 3–6 months:
• 2.5ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 6–24 months:
• 5ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 2–4 years:
• 7.5ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours
• 4–6 years:
• 10ml, up to 4 times in 24 hours

Administration:

• Shake the bottle well before use
• Measure the dose carefully using the supplied oral syringe
• Can be given with or without food

Important dosing advice:

• Leave at least 4 hours between doses
• Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours
• Do not use for more than 3 days without medical advice

Active ingredient:

• Paracetamol 120mg per 5ml

Other ingredients include:

• Liquid maltitol
• Glycerol
• Xanthan gum
• Purified water

No added sugar.

No artificial colours.

Important warnings:

• Do not give with any other paracetamol-containing medicines
• Giving more than the recommended dose may cause serious liver damage

Do not use:

• In babies under 2 months

Warnings & precautions:

• Consult a pharmacist or GP before use if your child has liver or kidney problems
• Contains maltitol, which may cause a mild laxative effect if taken in excess
• If symptoms persist, worsen, or fever lasts more than 3 days, seek medical advice

Possible side effects (rare):

• Skin rash or allergic reactions
• Blood disorders (very rare)
