Canesten Thrush Cream Clotrimazole 2% - 20g

Canesten® Thrush Cream Clotrimazole 2% – 20g is an antifungal treatment used to relieve the external symptoms of vaginal thrush, including itching, redness, soreness and irritation around the vulval area.

The cream contains clotrimazole 2%, a clinically proven antifungal medicine that works by stopping the growth of Candida yeast, the most common cause of thrush. It helps clear infection at the skin surface while soothing uncomfortable symptoms.

This product is suitable for use alongside other Canesten thrush treatments, such as pessaries or oral capsules, where recommended. It is intended for external use only and provides targeted relief directly at the affected area.

• Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected external area.
• Use 2–3 times daily until symptoms improve.
• Treatment usually lasts up to 7 days.

Wash hands before and after application. Do not apply internally.

• If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, or if they worsen, consult a pharmacist or GP before continuing use.

• Benzyl alcohol and other excipients forming the cream base

• For external use only. Do not insert into the vagina.
• Do not use if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the ingredients.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not use during pregnancy unless advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
• Not suitable for children under 16 years or adults over 60 years without medical advice.

Possible side effects may include mild burning, stinging or irritation at the application site. If severe irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, stop using the product and seek medical advice.

Important:

Do not use this product if you are unsure you have thrush, if this is your first episode, or if symptoms are recurrent (more than twice in 6 months). Seek medical advice if you experience unusual discharge, vaginal bleeding, lower abdominal pain, fever, or an unpleasant odour.
