Colpermin Capsules – 20 Capsules are a targeted symptomatic relief treatment for adult sufferers of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Each capsule contains natural peppermint oil 0.2 ml formulated in a sustained-release, gastro-resistant shell that helps deliver the active ingredient into the lower bowel, where it works to relax intestinal muscle spasms, ease abdominal cramps and help trapped wind and bloating to pass.

Colpermin is used for relieving IBS symptoms such as painful spasms of the bowel wall, bloating, gas discomfort and irregular bowel habits. The sustained-release formulation is designed to help the peppermint oil act where it is most needed during digestion.

This product is supplied in a pack of 20 gastro-resistant capsules, ideal for short-course or symptom-targeted use in adults and the elderly. 

UK pharmacy compliant usage guidance (adapted to OTC leaflet style):

• Adults and elderly: Swallow 1 capsule three times a day with a glass of water. Do not take immediately after food.
• In cases of more severe discomfort, the dose may be increased to 2 capsules three times a day as directed by a healthcare professional.
• Swallow the capsules whole; do not chew or break them, as this may cause irritation and reduce the intended delivery of peppermint oil.
• Continue use until symptom relief is achieved, typically up to two weeks. If symptoms persist or worsen after this period, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Important: This product is not recommended for children under 15 years due to lack of experience in this age group.

• Peppermint Oil BP 0.2 ml – a natural antispasmodic that helps relax bowel wall muscle spasms and relieve associated IBS symptoms.

⚠️ Allergen note: Contains arachis (peanut) oil. Patients with peanut or soy allergies should not take this product.

Do not use if:

• You are allergic to peppermint oil, menthol, peanuts, soya or any other capsule ingredients.
• You are under 15 years of age.

Stop use and seek medical advice if:

• You experience severe abdominal pain, fever, blood in stools, significant weight loss or persistent vomiting.
• Symptoms worsen or do not improve after 2 weeks of treatment.
• You develop signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips or throat, difficulty breathing, or rash.
