Description
Deep Heat Heat Rub – 100g is a non-greasy, pain-relieving warming cream applied to the skin to help ease muscular aches, pain and stiffness.
It is used for the relief of muscular pains and stiffness including:
- Backache and lumbago
- Sciatica (pain in the lower back and thigh)
- Fibrositis (muscle tenderness or stiffness)
- Rheumatic pain (in muscles, tendons, joints or bones)
- Chilblains
- Bruises
- Sprains
- Minor sports injuries
Deep Heat Heat Rub can be used before or after exercise to help soothe tight, sore muscles.
How to Use
Always read the leaflet before use.
Who can use it: Adults and children aged 5 years and over.
Directions:
- Always try on a small area first.
- Gently massage a thin layer into the affected area until rubbed in.
- Apply 2–3 times daily.
- Do not use more than 3 times in one day.
- Wash hands immediately after use (to avoid transferring to eyes/lips). If accidental contact occurs, rinse with plenty of clean water.
- Do not cover with bandages, plasters or dressings (it is safe to cover with clothing).
If you use too much: wipe off excess.
If swallowed (adult or child): contact a doctor or hospital immediately.
If symptoms do not improve: seek medical advice.
Ingredients
Active ingredients (w/w):
- Methyl Salicylate 12.80%
- Menthol 5.91%
- Eucalyptus Oil 1.97%
- Turpentine Oil 1.47%
Other ingredients: sodium cetostearyl sulphate, cetostearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, wool fat (lanolin), liquid paraffin, purified water.
Side Effects & Warnings
Do not use
- If you are allergic to any ingredients, or allergic to painkillers such as aspirin, ibuprofen or other NSAIDs.
- On children under 5 years.
- On broken, damaged or inflamed skin.
- In the eyes or other sensitive areas (rinse with plenty of clean water if accidental contact occurs).
- For skin use only. Do not take by mouth.
Speak to a doctor before use if you
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have asthma.
- Are taking medicines that thin the blood or prevent clots (including aspirin).
Possible side effects
More likely if you have sensitive skin, in hot weather or after a hot bath:
- Temporary skin redness
- Burning sensation
- Rash
- Skin burns or blisters
Stop using if you get excessive irritation or any unwanted effects and seek advice.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Store below 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date.
