Lyclear Dermal Cream Permethrin 5% W/W - 30g

Lyclear® Dermal Cream Permethrin 5% w/w – 30g is a clinically proven treatment for scabies, a contagious skin condition caused by mites that burrow into the skin and cause intense itching.

The cream contains permethrin 5%, an effective insecticide that kills scabies mites and their eggs. Lyclear® works by disrupting the nervous system of the mites, helping to clear the infestation when used correctly.

It is suitable for adults and children over 2 months of age and is often recommended as a first-line treatment for scabies in line with UK clinical guidance.

• Apply the cream to clean, dry skin.
• Cover the entire body from the neck down, including between fingers and toes, under nails, soles of feet, groin and buttocks.
• For children under 2 years and the elderly, the scalp, neck, face and ears may also need treatment (avoiding eyes and mouth).
• Leave on for 8–12 hours, then wash off thoroughly.

A second application after 7 days is usually recommended to ensure complete eradication.

All close household contacts should be treated at the same time to prevent reinfestation.

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes.
• Do not use if you are allergic to permethrin, chrysanthemums or any of the ingredients.
• Itching may continue for several weeks after treatment; this does not necessarily mean treatment failure.

Possible side effects include mild burning, stinging, redness or itching at the site of application. These are usually temporary. Stop use and seek medical advice if a severe skin reaction occurs.

Important:

This product treats scabies mites but does not provide immediate relief from itching. Persistent symptoms after treatment should be discussed with a pharmacist or GP.
