Enterosgel - 225g

Enterosgel® Intestinal Absorbent 225g is a medical device used to help relieve acute and chronic diarrhoea, including diarrhoea associated with gastrointestinal upset, food poisoning, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D), antibiotic use, and digestive toxin exposure.

Enterosgel® contains an organic mineral hydrogel (polymethylsiloxane polyhydrate) that acts as a selective intestinal adsorbent. It works by binding harmful substances in the gut, including toxins, bacteria, viruses and allergens, which are then removed naturally from the body through the digestive system.

Unlike some treatments, Enterosgel® does not affect beneficial gut bacteria, does not interfere with digestion, and is not absorbed into the bloodstream. It is sugar-free, gluten-free and alcohol-free, making it suitable for a wide range of people when used as directed.

The larger 225g pack is ideal for households, travel, or ongoing digestive support.

Enterosgel® can be taken neat or mixed with water.

Recommended dosage:

• Adults and children over 14 years:
• 15g (1 tablespoon), three times daily
• Children aged 6–14 years:
• 10g, three times daily
• Children aged 1–6 years:
• 5g, three times daily

Take Enterosgel® between meals.

Leave a 1–2 hour gap between Enterosgel® and other medicines, as it may reduce their absorption.

Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.

If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, seek medical advice.

Seek medical advice urgently if:

• Diarrhoea lasts longer than 48 hours
• There are signs of severe dehydration (dry mouth, drowsiness, reduced urine output)
• There is blood in the stool, fever, or severe abdominal pain
• Diarrhoea occurs in infants, elderly patients, or those with chronic illness

Important:

Enterosgel® does not replace oral rehydration therapy. Adequate fluid intake is essential during diarrhoea.
