Product Overview
Epaderm 3-In-1 Ointment 1 kg is a triple-action emollient that moisturises, cleanses and soothes dry, itchy and sensitive skin. Ideal for eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions, suitable for all ages including babies.
Description
Epaderm 3-In-1 Ointment – 1 kg is a versatile dermatological emollient designed to manage and soothe dry, flaky, itchy or sensitive skin. It combines three key actions in one:
• Direct skin moisturiser that helps lock in moisture and support the skin’s natural barrier.
• Gentle skin cleanser / soap substitute for washing without stripping essential oils.
• Bath additive that helps rehydrate skin by infusing the bath with emollient film.
This rich paraffin-based ointment is fragrance-free, colouring-free, preservative-free and free from sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), making it suitable for all ages including babies and children. It is commonly used for chronic dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and inflammatory dry skin conditions.
Brand: Epaderm (developed by dermatologists; widely recommended by GPs and pharmacists in the UK)
Pack Size: 1 kg tub – ideal for frequent or whole-body use.
Product Type: Emollient ointment for dry, sensitive and inflamed skin conditions.
How to Use
Direct to skin:
• Clean and dry the affected area.
• Scoop a generous amount of Epaderm Ointment and apply directly to the dry or irritated skin, smoothing gently in the direction of hair growth to reduce follicle blockage.
• Apply as often as required, especially after bathing or washing.
As a gentle skin cleanser (soap substitute):
• Scoop a small amount into wet hands or washcloth.
• Lather under warm water and cleanse as you would with a mild soap, then rinse thoroughly.
• Epaderm helps prevent further moisture loss that can occur with traditional soaps.
As a bath additive:
• Take about 4 g (≈ the size of a £2 coin or teaspoon) from the tub.
• Melt in a tumbler of hot water and allow to cool sufficiently before adding to the bath.
• Soak in the emollient-infused water to help maximise skin hydration.
• Warning: the bath may become slippery; take care.
For best results, use Epaderm regularly and liberally. There is no upper limit to use — emollients are not steroids and can be used frequently to maintain hydration.
Ingredients
Core Emollient Components:
• Yellow Soft Paraffin BP – rich occlusive emollient that forms a protective oil film to reduce moisture loss.
• Liquid Paraffin Ph. Eur. – supports deep moisturisation and skin softness.
• Cetomacrogol Emulsifying Wax BP (contains Cetostearyl Alcohol and Macrogol Cetostearyl Ether) – helps create a stable ointment texture that spreads easily and stays on the skin.
This simple, clinically proven formulation avoids common irritants such as fragrance, colourants, SLS and preservatives, making it suitable for even sensitive and compromised skin.
