Product Overview
Exorex Lotion 250 ml is a coal tar solution lotion formulated to help relieve psoriasis symptoms such as itching, scaling, redness and dry patches, suitable for skin and scalp with UK-aligned safety guidance.
Description
Exorex Lotion – 250 ml is a cutaneous emulsion containing 5 % w/w coal tar solution, indicated for the treatment and symptomatic relief of mild to moderate psoriasis affecting the skin and scalp. It works by softening thickened, scaly skin, relieving itching and helping to loosen scales, while providing a mild antiseptic effect, making everyday psoriasis management more comfortable.
Coal tar has documented antipruritic and keratoplastic properties and has been used for decades in the dermatological management of psoriasis. This formulation is suitable for use across age groups, and the lotion can be diluted with clean, cooled water for sensitive or paediatric skin when advised by a clinician.

How to Use
Prepare the area: Ensure the affected skin/scalp is clean and dry before application.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use to ensure uniform distribution.
• Apply a thin layer of Exorex Lotion to the affected areas (psoriatic plaques) 2–3 times daily. Massage gently and allow the lotion to dry naturally.
• For children under 12 years, elderly patients or those with sensitive skin, the lotion may be diluted by mixing a few drops with freshly boiled and cooled water prior to application — consult a clinician or pharmacist for personalised advice.
• Once dry, it is commonly recommended to apply a suitable moisturiser (e.g. Exorex Moisturising Cream) over the area to maintain hydration.
