Octenisan md Nasengel – 6 ml is a nasal moisturising and cleansing gel formulated to provide physical decontamination and supportive care of the nasal vestibules (the front part of the nose). The hydrophilic hydrogel formulation helps keep the nasal passages moist and supports the natural cleansing function of the nose, which is particularly useful during dry conditions, colds, allergies or irritation from frequent nose blowing. The moisturising environment also helps promote comfortable epithelial cell function and may aid healing of irritated skin beneath the nasal opening.

The product’s excellent tissue compatibility makes it a gentle option for maintaining nasal hygiene and comfort in everyday use, and its compact 6 ml size is convenient to carry for on-the-go care.

Product Type: Nasal gel for moisturising and cleansing

Intended for nasal vestibule use only.

• Apply up to twice daily or as needed, unless otherwise advised by a clinician.

• Use a clean cotton swab or gloved finger to apply a sufficient quantity of gel to the front part of each nostril (nasal vestibules) so the surface is completely covered.

• After placing the gel, gently press the sides of the nose together and massage between thumb and forefinger to ensure even distribution.

• Before application, the nose may be cleaned with a damp cotton swab if necessary. Excess gel can be removed with a swab, ensuring a moist film remains.

• Avoid inserting the gel deep into the nasal cavity or using forceful application.

• Store at room temperature away from direct heat and light.

Active / functional components:

• Purified Water – base for the hydrogel.

• Propylene Glycol – moisturising agent that helps maintain hydration of the nasal lining.

• Hydroxyethylcellulose – thickening agent forming the gel matrix.

• Octenidine HCl (Octenidindihydrochloride) – mild cationic antiseptic agent that supports physical cleansing properties of the gel.

This combination supports moisturising, gentle cleansing and epithelial comfort for dry or irritated nasal passages. 

Warnings & Precautions

• For nasal vestibule use only. Do not swallow or use in the eyes, ears or on cartilage tissue.

• Do not combine with cleansing soaps, oils, ointments, enzymes or iodine-based products (e.g., PVP iodine), as this may reduce effectiveness or preservation.

• Do not use if you have a known or suspected allergy to any ingredients (e.g., propylene glycol, hydroxyethylcellulose, octenidine HCl).

• Avoid deep insertion — apply only to the front nasal area with a swab or similar method.

• Use under medical supervision if use is anticipated beyond 2 weeks.

• Keep out of reach of children.

Possible Side Effects

• Rarely, topical nasal gels may cause mild local irritation such as stinging or transient redness.

• If irritation persists or worsens, discontinue use and consult a clinician or pharmacist.
