Sea-Band For Children

Sea-Band for Children are drug-free acupressure wristbands designed to help relieve travel sickness, nausea and vomiting in children. They work by applying gentle pressure to the P6 (Neiguan) acupressure point on the wrist, a method traditionally used to reduce nausea without the need for medication.

Sea-Bands are suitable for use during car, coach, boat and air travel, as well as for nausea caused by motion, anxiety or other non-medical triggers. They are reusable, washable and comfortable to wear, making them ideal for children who cannot take or prefer to avoid anti-sickness medicines.

Directions for use (UK pharmacy-aligned guidance):

• Place one band on each wrist.
• Position the plastic stud so it presses on the P6 acupressure point, located about three finger widths below the palm crease, between the two tendons on the inner wrist.
• Bands should be worn before travel or at the first sign of nausea.
• Can be worn continuously or removed as required.

General advice:

• Suitable for children when used as directed.
• Can be worn day or night.
• If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a pharmacist or GP.

Warnings & Precautions

• Do not apply to broken, inflamed or irritated skin.
• Ensure the band is snug but not too tight, to avoid restricting circulation.
• Remove if discomfort, numbness or skin irritation occurs.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of very young children when not in use.

Possible Side Effects

• Sea-Band is generally very well tolerated.
• Rarely, mild skin irritation or pressure discomfort may occur.

• Hand wash in warm water and allow to air dry.
• Store in a clean, dry place when not in use.
