Stugeron 15mg- Pack of 100

Stugeron® 15mg Tablets contain cinnarizine, an antihistamine used to help prevent and treat travel sickness and to relieve symptoms associated with inner ear and balance disorders, such as vertigo, dizziness, nausea and vomiting.

This large 100-tablet pack is ideal for frequent travellers or for ongoing management of balance-related conditions when recommended by a healthcare professional. Stugeron works by reducing the sensitivity of the inner ear balance organs and helping to control nausea signals in the brain.

For Travel Sickness

• Adults and children aged 5 years and over:
• Take 2 tablets two hours before travel.
• Then 1 tablet every 8 hours during the journey if required.

For Vertigo & Balance Disorders

• Adults:
• Take 2 tablets three times daily, or as advised by a healthcare professional.

Important administration advice

• Swallow tablets with water.
• Can be taken with or without food.
• May cause drowsiness – take care when first using.

Not suitable for children under 5 years.

Active ingredient:

• Cinnarizine 15mg per tablet

Other ingredients include:

Lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate.

Do not take

• If you have ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients
• If it is for a child under 5 years
• If you are breast-feeding

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist before taking if you have

• Parkinson’s disease
• Porphyria (a hereditary blood disorder)
• Liver or kidney problems
• You are fructose or galactose intolerant

Interactions and alcohol

• Avoid alcohol, as it may make you feel drowsy.
• Drowsiness can be increased with tranquilisers, tricyclic antidepressants, and hypnotics (sleep medicines).

Allergy testing

This medicine can affect allergy skin test results. If you have taken Stugeron within 4 days before a test, tell your doctor.

Driving and using machines

Some people may feel drowsy. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.

Possible side effects

Stop taking and seek urgent medical help if you get signs of an allergic reaction (rash/hives, wheezing, breathlessness, swelling of eyelids/face/lips, collapse).

Common (up to 1 in 10): drowsiness, nausea, upset stomach, increased weight

Uncommon (up to 1 in 100): tiredness, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, increased sweating, skin lesion

Not known: headache, dry mouth, yellowing of skin/eyes; with long-term use (mainly in older patients) movement-related effects such as tremor, stiffness, restlessness or slowed movement; long-term use may also cause rashes/itchy bumps sometimes with mouth sores
