Xailin Night Lubricating Eye Ointment - 5g

Xailin Night Lubricating Eye Ointment (5g) is a preservative-free, multi-dose, sterile eye ointment designed for night-time relief of dry eye sensations. It forms a transparent, lubricating, moisture-retaining film on the surface of the eye, helping to act as a barrier against moisture loss while you sleep.

Ideal for use at bedtime to soothe symptoms of dry eyes such as soreness, irritation and a gritty sensation.

For ocular (eye) use only. Do not swallow.

Dose

• Apply a thin line (about 1 cm / half an inch) into each eye whenever needed, ideally at bedtime, or as directed by a doctor, pharmacist or optician.

Step-by-step

1. Check the safety strip/seal is intact before first use.
2. Wash and dry hands.
3. Remove the cap.
4. Remove contact lenses before use.
5. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket.
6. Hold the tube near the eye without touching the eye with the nozzle, and squeeze out a 1 cm ribbon into the lower lid pocket.
7. Blink a few times. Wipe away excess with a clean tissue if needed.
8. Replace cap tightly. Avoid touching the applicator tip.

Using with other eye medicines

• Leave at least 30 minutes between this ointment and any other ophthalmic products.

Storage & in-use shelf life

• Store between 1°C and 25°C; do not store above 25°C and do not freeze.
• Discard 60 days after first opening.

Xailin Night contains:

• White soft paraffin 57.3% w/w
• White mineral oil 42.5% w/w
• Lanolin alcohols 0.2% w/w

Do not use

• If the safety strip/seal is broken.
• If you are allergic to lanolin alcohols or any ingredient.
• Do not use with contact lenses in place (remove lenses before use).

Important warnings

• Do not touch the nozzle tip to the eye, eyelid, fingers or any surface (reduces contamination risk).
• Do not share this product with anyone else.
• Xailin Night can cause transient mild burning and/or blurred vision after application. Wait until vision is clear before driving or using machinery.
• Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton/tube.

Possible side effects

• Transient blurring of vision
• Mild eye discomfort
• Possible allergic reaction (stop use and seek advice if this occurs)

Seek advice urgently if you develop eye pain, worsening redness, marked light sensitivity, discharge, or changes in vision, or if symptoms persist despite use.
