Description

What is Dymista Nasal Spray ?

Dymista Nasal Spray is a treatment for allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy nose, blocked nose, and post-nasal drip.

It contains two active ingredients:

  • Azelastine – an antihistamine that blocks histamine (the chemical that causes allergic reactions).

  • Fluticasone – a corticosteroid that reduces swelling and inflammation in your nose.

Dymista is especially useful for people with moderate to severe hay fever (seasonal allergies) and year-round allergies like dust mites, pets, or mould, when a single medicine isn’t enough.

Other Medications with Dymista

Tell your doctor if you take:

  • HIV medicines (ritonavir, cobicistat)

  • Antifungal treatments (ketoconazole)

  • Other prescription or over-the-counter medicines

These may increase Dymista’s side effects, so monitoring may be needed.

How to Use

  • Adults and children 12+ years: One spray in each nostril morning and evening.

  • Children under 12: Not recommended.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Shake the bottle gently for 5 seconds.

  2. Remove the protective cap.

  3. Prime the spray (first use: press 6 times until a fine mist appears; re-prime if unused for more than 7 days).

  4. Blow your nose to clear it.

  5. Tilt your head slightly forward (do not tilt back).

  6. Insert the nozzle into one nostril, close the other nostril with your finger.

  7. Press down and sniff gently at the same time.

  8. Breathe out through your mouth.
