Accu-Chek FastClix Finger Pricker

The Accu-Chek FastClix Finger Pricker is a one-click lancing device designed to simplify blood sample collection for glucose monitoring in people living with diabetes. Its innovative pre-loaded lancet drum contains six sterile lancets and eliminates the need to handle loose lancets, making sampling safer and more hygienic.

FastClix uses ClixMotion technology to control lancet forward and return motion, helping reduce pain and minimise trauma to the skin and nerve endings during finger pricks. The device features 11 adjustable depth settings so users can personalise the penetration depth to suit their skin type and get an adequate blood drop first time.

The device’s compact and ergonomic design is suitable for routine self-monitoring of blood glucose at home or on the go. It is intended for personal use only and should be used with Accu-Chek FastClix sterile lancets.

Usage: Finger-prick blood sampling for glucose metres.

1. Prepare hands: Wash and dry hands thoroughly before sampling to reduce contamination and improve accuracy.
2. Select depth: Turn the end of the FastClix device to select your preferred penetration depth (0.7–2.2 mm).
3. Load lancet drum: Ensure a FastClix lancet drum with sterile lancets is correctly inserted.
4. Position and one-click: Hold the device against the side of the fingertip and press the one-click activation to lance.
5. Collect blood: Gently massage the finger until a blood drop forms. Use it immediately with your blood glucose metre or test strip.
6. Advance/Replace lancet: Slide the lever or rotate to advance to the next lancet in the drum when required. After all six lancets are used, dispose of the used drum and load a new one.
7. Dispose: Dispose of used lancets and drums safely following local clinical waste guidance.

As a diagnostic lancing device, the Accu-Chek FastClix Finger Pricker does not contain medicinal ingredients. Instead, it is a medical device engineered with the following materials for safe blood sampling:

• Stainless-steel lancets (within the lancet drum) — sterile sharp needles.

• Plastic housing and ergonomic components — form the lancing device body.

• Internal mechanical mechanisms — ClixMotion and depth-adjustment system to control penetration and lancet advancement.

These materials are designed for single-person use only and must be replaced or disposed of according to local clinical waste standards after use.

Warnings & Precautions

• For personal use only: The FastClix device is intended for individual self-monitoring and should not be used on multiple people to minimise risk of cross-infection.

• Use only compatible lancet drums: Only use Accu-Chek FastClix lancet drums with this device. Other lancets or drums may not work correctly and could damage the device.

• Do not reuse lancets or drums: Each lancet is sterile and for single use only; once a lancet has been used, advance to the next needle to avoid infection and ensure sharpness.

• Hygiene: Wash hands before sampling. Avoid using the device if the skin is broken, infected, or inflamed at the sampling site.

• Keep out of reach of children: Contains small parts and sharp components; store securely to prevent accidental injury.

• Storage: Store the device and extra lancet drums in a cool, dry place away from prolonged heat or humidity.

• Symptoms vs. readings: A lancing device itself does not provide glucose values — refer to your glucose metre results and consult a pharmacist or clinician if symptoms do not match readings.
