Description
Canesten® 1% Cream is a clinically proven antifungal treatment used to treat a wide range of fungal skin infections. It helps relieve symptoms such as itching, redness, soreness and cracked skin caused by fungal and yeast infections.
Containing clotrimazole 1%, Canesten works by killing the fungus responsible for infection, helping to clear the condition and prevent it from returning when used as directed. It is suitable for conditions including athlete’s foot, ringworm, fungal nappy rash, sweat rash, fungal infections between the toes or fingers, and external thrush in men and women.
The smooth cream formulation is easy to apply, absorbs well into the skin and is suitable for use on most areas of the body.

How to Use
- Wash and thoroughly dry the affected area before application.
- Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area.
- Use 2–3 times daily, rubbing in gently.
Treatment duration depends on the infection:
- Athlete’s foot: up to 4 weeks
- Ringworm: 3–4 weeks
- Candidal infections: 1–2 weeks
Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms have cleared to help prevent recurrence.

Side Effects & Warnings
- For external use only.
- Avoid contact with eyes.
- Do not use if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients.
- Discontinue use if severe irritation, redness or allergic reaction occurs.
Possible side effects include mild burning, stinging, itching or redness at the site of application. These effects are usually mild and short-lived.
If symptoms do not improve within the recommended treatment period, or if the condition keeps returning, seek medical advice.
