Description
Care Decongestant Tablets – 12 Tablets are a non-drowsy oral decongestant used to relieve nasal and sinus congestion associated with colds, flu, sinusitis and hay fever.
The tablets contain pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, which works by reducing swelling in the blood vessels of the nasal passages and sinuses. This helps unblock the nose, relieve pressure and restore easier breathing.
This medicine is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over and is intended for short-term use only.
How to Use
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
- Take 1 tablet, up to four times daily.
Maximum dose:
- Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.
UK pharmacy-aligned guidance:
- Swallow tablets with water.
- Leave at least 4–6 hours between doses.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, worsen, or are severe, seek medical advice.
- Always read the enclosed Patient Information Leaflet before use.

Warnings & Precautions
- For oral use only.
- This medicine is non-drowsy, but may cause stimulation in some people.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Do NOT take this medicine if you:
- Are allergic to pseudoephedrine or any other ingredient.
- Have severe high blood pressure, heart disease or hyperthyroidism.
- Have severe kidney disease.
- Are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or have taken them within the last 14 days.
- Are under 12 years of age.
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you:
- Have diabetes, glaucoma or prostate problems.
- Have mild to moderate high blood pressure.
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Possible Side Effects
Like all medicines, Care Decongestant Tablets can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. These may include:
- Nervousness, restlessness or difficulty sleeping
- Headache or dizziness
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Rarely, palpitations or raised blood pressure
Stop taking the medicine and seek medical advice if you experience severe or persistent side effects.
Storage
- Store below 25 °C.
- Keep tablets in the original packaging.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
