1. Prepare: Wash and dry hands thoroughly before sampling to improve accuracy and reduce contamination risk.
2. Insert Lancet: Remove one CareSens 28g lancet from its sterile packaging and load it into a compatible lancing device, following the device’s instructions.
3. Adjust Depth (if available): Set the lancing device to the appropriate penetration depth for your skin type.
4. Perform Finger-Prick: Place the device against the side of the fingertip or recommended test site and activate it to obtain a small drop of capillary blood.
5. Collect Sample: Use the blood drop immediately with your glucose metre or diagnostic test strip according to that product’s instructions.
6. Dispose Safely: Lancets are single use only. Dispose of used lancets in an approved sharps container in line with local clinical waste guidance.
