1. Prepare the meter: Ensure the CareSens Pro/Dual meter is ready and switched on.
2. Insert a strip: Take one test strip from the vial and insert it into the meter’s strip port as indicated.
3. Collect a blood sample: Wash and dry your hands. Use a lancing device to obtain a fresh drop of blood (≈0.4 μL).
4. Apply the blood: Touch the edge of the test strip’s sample area to the blood drop until it is absorbed.
5. Read the result: Your meter will count down and display the blood glucose reading in approximately 5 seconds.
6. Record or act: Record the result and follow your clinician’s or diabetes care plan advice if adjustments to lifestyle or treatment are needed.
7. Dispose: Discard the used test strip safely in accordance with local medical waste guidance; do not reuse strips.

Storage & Handling Tips

• Store strips in their original container with the lid tightly closed to protect from moisture and contaminants.
• Use strips within the expiry date and ideally within 12 months of opening.
• Only handle strips with clean, dry hands and avoid bending or altering them.
