Product Overview
Overnight head lice treatment with dimeticone 4% w/w. Apply to dry hair, leave 8 hours, wash out, repeat after 7 days. Suitable from 6 months.
Description
Hedrin 4% Lotion is a topical cutaneous solution for the eradication of head lice in adults and children aged 6 months and over.
It contains dimeticone 4% w/w, which is not a chemical poison. It works by a physical process that covers and drowns head lice. The carrier ingredient (cyclomethicone 5) evaporates after application, leaving the active ingredient on the hair.
Key points:
- Suitable for adults and children 6 months+ (under 6 months only under medical supervision).
- Odourless, clear, colourless solution.
- Designed for overnight/8-hour application, with a repeat treatment after 7 days to help deal with lice that hatch after the first use.
How to Use
Read the leaflet before use. Use on DRY hair.
- Apply sufficient lotion evenly over dry hair, ensuring the scalp is fully covered.
- Work into the hair, spreading the liquid evenly from roots to tips. Allow hair to dry naturally.
- Leave on the hair for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Wash the hair with normal shampoo, rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
Repeat treatment
- Apply again after 7 days to deal with any lice that may hatch in that time. Not repeating may result in return of infestation.
Household note: If live head lice are found in one family member, check others and treat any other cases at the same time.
