Movelat Cream - 125g

Movelat Cream – 125g is a mild to moderate anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) cream for use on the skin. It contains mucopolysaccharide polysulfate (MPS) and salicylic acid and is used to help relieve:

• Muscular pain and stiffness
• Sprains and strains
• Pain due to rheumatic and non-serious arthritic conditions

What it looks like: a white cream in a 125g aluminium lacquered tube (other pack sizes exist, but may not all be marketed). 

For external use only. Do not swallow. Always use exactly as directed in the leaflet or by your doctor/pharmacist.

Who can use it

• Adults and children aged 12 years and over
• Do not use in children under 12 years

How much to apply

• The amount depends on the size of the area being treated.
• Gently massage 2 to 6 inches (5–15cm) of cream into the affected area at any one time.
• Apply up to 4 times a day. Do not exceed this dose.

Helpful use notes

• Before first use, pierce the tube seal using the spiked top of the cap (push and turn firmly until you hear a click).
• Wash your hands immediately after use (unless treating the hands).
• Some people may experience discomfort, particularly with sensitive skin, in hot weather, or after a bath.
• If symptoms do not improve or get worse, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist.

If swallowed accidentally

Contact a doctor or hospital straight away. Symptoms may include rapid breathing, ringing in the ears, deafness, light-headedness or sweating. 

Active ingredients:

• Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate (MPS) 0.2% w/w
• Salicylic acid 2.0% w/w

Other ingredients:

Glycerol 85%, stearic acid, anhydrous eucerine (contains lanolin), myristyl alcohol, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol, ethanolamine, thymol, isopropyl alcohol, purified water.

Do not use Movelat Cream

• If you are allergic to MPS, salicylic acid (or other aspirin-like medicines) or related painkillers known as NSAIDs (particularly important if you have asthma).
• If you are allergic to any other ingredient (see ingredients list).
• If you have broken skin, infected skin or eczema.
• On large areas of skin.
• On or near sensitive areas such as the mouth, eyes or ano-genital regions.
• Children under 12 years.

Warnings & precautions

• External use only. Do not swallow.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose/frequency.
• Talk to a doctor/pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, have asthma, have pre-existing kidney damage, are using prescribed medicines, or if symptoms don’t improve/worsen.
• Stop using if you get irritation or other unwanted effects.

Pregnancy & breast-feeding

Do not use during the first three months or last three months of pregnancy, or on the breast area during breast-feeding.

Interactions

Tell your doctor/pharmacist if you use coumarin anti-coagulants (blood thinners such as warfarin), as Movelat Cream may affect how they work.

Possible side effects

Rarely, in sensitive individuals: redness, burning sensation, rash. If these occur, stop using and speak to a doctor or pharmacist.

Important: fire safety

Do not smoke or go near naked flames. Fabric that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard (washing may reduce build-up but may not remove it completely).

Storage

Store below 25°C. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
