Product Overview
2mg Freshmint nicotine gum for those who smoke 20 or fewer cigarettes/day (or light to moderate vapers). Chew-and-rest technique. Max 15 gums/day. 30 pieces.
Description
Nicorette® Freshmint Gum 2mg is a nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) used to relieve and/or prevent nicotine withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings when you:
- Stop smoking or stop vaping
- Cut down the number of cigarettes/e-cigarettes you smoke/vape
- Need support during temporary abstinence (when you can’t or don’t want to smoke/vape).
When chewed correctly, nicotine is released and absorbed through the lining of the mouth to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. NRT is a safer alternative to smoking tobacco for you and those around you.
Strength guide
- 2mg is suitable if you smoke 20 cigarettes or fewer per day or are a light to moderate vaper.
Pack size
- 30 pieces (Freshmint flavour).
How to Use
Who can use it
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over
- Do not give to children under 12 years.
Dose
- Chew 1 piece when you feel the urge to smoke or vape.
- Use only one piece at a time.
- Do not use more than 15 pieces a day.
Chew-and-rest technique (important)
Nicorette gum is not chewed like ordinary chewing gum. Chewing continuously can release nicotine too quickly and may cause throat irritation, hiccups or stomach upset.
- Chew slowly until the taste becomes strong.
- Rest the gum between your gum and cheek.
- Chew again when the taste has faded.
- Continue for about 30 minutes, then dispose of the gum safely.
Dentures
- The gum may stick to dentures and, rarely, damage them. If this is a problem, another type of NRT may be more suitable.
If you use too many gums (or use nicotine from other sources at the same time)
- Symptoms of too much nicotine can include nausea, vomiting, increased salivation, stomach pain, diarrhoea, sweating, headache, dizziness, hearing disturbance or weakness. Seek urgent medical advice.
