Intended Use: In-vitro self-monitoring of blood glucose for diabetes care

Prepare meter: Ensure your TrueYou or TrueYou Mini glucose metre is switched on and ready.

Insert a strip: Remove one test strip from the pack and insert it into the metre’s test port as indicated in the metre’s instructions.

Obtain blood sample: Wash and dry your hands. Use a sterile lancing device to prick the fingertip or alternate approved site for a fresh capillary blood drop.

Apply blood: Touch the edge of the test strip’s sample area gently to the blood drop until the metre detects sufficient sample.

Read result: The meter will display your blood glucose result in around 4 seconds.

Record & act: Document results according to your care plan and consult your healthcare team if readings are outside your usual range.

Dispose: Used test strips should be disposed of in an approved sharps/clinical waste container.

Usage Notes

• Blood sampling: While test strips themselves do not contact the bloodstream, obtaining a blood sample requires skin puncture with a lancing device; this may cause mild discomfort and carries a risk of minor bleeding or infection without proper hygiene.
